Brilliant Moisturizing Gel versus Stretch Marks

I have to be honest about something, and I'm sure this is going to upset some people, but it's driving me crazy.

I see images like these all the time on Instagram, and social media.....and it makes me so upset!

Why am I so upset? Because they are completely FALSE, and Presenters who create these images are cheapening the brand. Brilliant is NOT a stretch mark cream, nor will it fade your stretch marks. Younique's products are HIGH quality, amazing products....and by posting false pictures like these it can cause people to lose faith in the brand. If a customer bought Brilliant for her stretch marks, and she didn't get the result she wanted, she would for SURE not try anything else, and she would tell her friends that Younique doesn't work!

Unfortunately, there are no products that work on stretch marks. Stretch marks are caused by weakness of skin and over-stretching, resulting in breaking of the dermis and subsequent scarring.
When these are fresh, they can be a dark purple color; however, they diminish in thickness and fade to a white silvery color over time. They get lighter with time on their own, but unfortunately, there are no creams or lotions to get rid of them.

You can encourage cell regeneration by using exfoliating and moisturizing products which can help fade them to silver, but that still takes time.

So what can Brilliant do for your skin?

-It will keep your skin hydrated and supple. If your skin gets dehydrated, it looks dull and wrinkles appear. You may see flakiness, and your makeup will not go on evenly. Moisturizers prevent and treat dry skin, but that's not all they do. Moisturizers can protect sensitive skin, improve skin tone and texture, and mask imperfections.

-Protect against free radicals: Free-radicals initiate the deterioration of the skin's structural support and decrease the elasticity, resilience, and suppleness of skin.  They are often tagged as the culprit in the case of wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity and suppleness. Free radicals are molecules with unpaired electrons. These unstable molecules make their way through the body, scavenging our cells, trying to snatch up that missing part.

-Protect against environmental damage. Applying moisturizer creates a barrier on your skin that keeps oils from escaping and harmful outside elements from causing dryness or irritation.

-It has Pearl Powder, which stimulates cell regeneration. Pearl Powder also pairs with free radicals, to help protect the cells from free radical induced damage. Also it has been  shown to enhance activity of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) which is a powerful enzyme that PROTECTS us from free radical damage. Since pearl powder is a rich source of calcium, it helps in cell cohesion with their calcium dependent proteins, therefore, promoting skin firmness.

-Natural Silver is a natural metallic element commonly used in cosmetics for its disinfectant properties. So basically it can kill the acne causing bacteria on your face.

- Glycerin: it is a skin-identical ingredient, meaning it is a substance found naturally in skin. In that respect it is one of the many substances in skin that help maintain the outer barrier and prevent dryness or scaling.

Many people with oily skin avoid using moisturizers because they think it'll just make their skin oilier. However, the oil on your skin seals in moisture -- it doesn't replace the moisture you lose, especially as you age. In addition, many people with oily skin also have acne -- which occurs when oil and dead skin cells clog pores -- and acne treatments can often dry out skin.  If you want to maintain a clear complexion and keep your skin moisturized, use an oil-free, noncomedogenic moisturizer like Brilliant.

Brilliant is the BEST all around moisturizer, you just need a tiny amount and it absorbs perfectly and does not leave you feeling greasy AT ALL. There is a fine line between skin looking fresh and rejuvenated versus wet or oily.

I'm so sad they are retiring it, but since it's Younique, I know the next moisturizer will be PHENOMENAL!

Get your Brilliant before it's gone!
